Noumena Winter Session
Biology Preparation at All Levels with a Harvard Graduate
We hope you're doing well! As the semester comes to a close and students gear up for their finals, we wanted to reach out regarding a new class Noumena will be offering this winter. Our teacher from Harvard University who graduated at the top of her class with a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and Evolutionary Psychology, completed full pre-medical coursework up to organic chemistry, and published two research articles in the top psychology journals in the U.S., has developed a biology curriculum based on the Noumena Method, which has proven its efficacy time and time again over the years. During our Thanksgiving Program, students saw increases in their SAT I scores as high as 240 points in the Reading/Writing Section. This biology program adapts Noumena's method of first-principles thinking to build a solid foundation on basic biological concepts and develop those skills to solve advanced and mixed problems.
Students who have already taken this course for the USA Biology Olympiad and SAT II Biology exam have seen their scores improve markedly, well above the range of qualifying for the semifinal round of the USABO. This course is available for students wishing to prepare for more advanced coursework at the Honors or AP level, the SAT II Biology exam (E or M), and/or Biology Olympiad. Students wishing to prepare for a Biology Olympiad must pass a qualifying exam prior to Winter Session to be eligible for the upper-level course. Spots will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis, so we highly recommend inquiring early to ensure a solid foundation for your student's future coursework or an outstanding addition to his/her college resume via a Biology Olympiad.
